Ways You Can Help

Mentorship Support

Guide youth through the Waano Youth Mentorship Program by sharing your skills, experience, and wisdom. Help build confidence and open doors to new opportunities.

Counselling Support

Provide peer support and guidance to community members navigating life's challenges. Training provided for all support volunteers.

Program Facilitation

Help deliver workshops, classes, and activities at our Innovation Hub, Drop-In Centre, and other programs. Whether it's tech, arts, or life skills—we need your expertise.

Event Coordination

Help organize and run community events, workshops, and celebrations. From setup to engagement, your energy makes events memorable.

Administrative Support

Support our office operations by helping with data entry, communications, social media, and other administrative tasks.

Outreach & Engagement

Help us reach community members through tabling at events, social media, community visits, and grassroots outreach initiatives.

Before You Apply

Important Information to Know

We want every volunteer experience to be meaningful and successful. Here's what you should know:

Location & Hours

Most volunteer opportunities are based at our Edmonton office (12909 53 Street NW). Hours are flexible and can include evening or weekend shifts depending on program needs.

Application Process

After you submit your interest, we'll reach out within 1-2 weeks to discuss opportunities that match your skills and availability. We may ask for references and conduct a brief interview.

Commitment & Support

We ask for a minimum commitment based on the role (typically 4-8 hours per month). All volunteers receive proper training, support, and guidance to succeed in their role.

Inclusivity

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences. If you have lived experience in BIPOC communities or share our mission, we'd love to hear from you.
